RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Gregory Walker, age 62 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, December 26, 2013 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in New York City, NY, December 10, 1951, son of Willie Jane Alston Walker of the Bronx, NY and the late Jeffery Walker, Sr., he had resided in the Raritan Township area for the past thirty years.

He was a Manager at the Shop-Rite of Flemington, NJ for over fifteen years; was an avid basketball player; and had a life-long affiliation with the Greater Universal Baptist Church, Bronx, NY.

In addition to his father, he was pre-deceased by a brother, Jeffery Walker, Jr. and a nephew, Sean Walker.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his fiancé, Denise Wilson; his step-son, Jamel Wilson of Somerset, NJ; a sister, Karen Walker of the Bronx, NY; a brother and sister-in-law, Willie and Laverne Walker of the Bronx, NY; many nieces and nephews and a host of cherished friends.

Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 on Monday, January 6, 2014 in the Greater Universal Baptist Church, 253 East 153rd Street, Bronx, NY, between Park and Morris Avenues under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. The service will be officiated by the Rev. J. Loren Russell.

Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Church.

Following the service, Gregory will be laid to rest in the peace of a beautiful country cemetery, Lower Amwell Cemetery, Sandbrook-Headquarters Road, Delaware Township, Hunterdon County, NJ.
