Grenelle H. "Slim" Storr

Grenelle H. “Slim” Storr, age 84, died, Friday, July 4, 2014 at Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born August 3, 1929 in Flemington, NJ, he was the son of the late John W. and Edith J. (Miller) Storr. He resided in the Flemington area all of his life. He was a graduate of Flemington High School and was employed at the Flemington Auction Market, then by Johanna Farms, and later a school bus driver for Hunterdon Central Regional High School for 10 years. He was a member of the Flemington Elks Lodge #1928, a Track Official at Flemington Speedway for 45 years, an avid bowler at Mt. Airy and Frenchtown Lanes, and member of the Sunday Morning Golf Club.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Paul and Kenneth Storr. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Bernice B. (Strimple) Storr, two daughters, Sherry Totten of Flemington, NJ, and April Nalence of Ringoes, NJ, and his son, Thomas Storr of New York City, NY. He is also survived by his two sisters, Wenonah Stover, and Mary Miller, both of Ringoes, NJ, his four brothers, Roger Storr of Flemington, NJ, Burdette Storr of Flagler, FL, Robert Storr of Sergeantsville, NJ, and Richard Storr of Shallot, NC, as well as four grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services and interment will be held private in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Flemington. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822
