Grover Cleveland Gaulrapp

Grover Cleveland Gaulrapp, age 88 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in New York City, NY, December 13, 1917, son of the late Daly and Katherine Shields Gaulrapp, he formerly resided in Bellrose, NY and had resided in Raritan Township since 1956.

He was plant engineer for Bemis Bag Company, Flemignton, NJ, retiring in 1978. He was then employed as a machinist with Mechanical Precision, Flemington, NJ.

A United States Navy Veteran or World War II, Mr. Gaulrapp was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Flemington, NJ; the Flemington Kiwanis Club; and the Flemington Elks Lodge #1928.

His wife, Ruth Valentine Gaulrapp, died June 2005, and a son, Roy Gaulrapp, died in 1998. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Janet Gaulrapp of Flemington, NJ; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Gaulrapp of Baldwinsville, NY; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral Services in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 Highway 31, Flemington, NJ will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 7-9 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
