Gustav Kasper, age 92 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, died on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Croton, NJ, October 8, 1925, he was the son of the late Julius and Bertha Mansch Kasper. Gus was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre, including the Battle of the Bulge.
Mr. Kasper owned and operated Kasper Disposal Service for over forty-five years, retiring in 2010.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Caroline Hummer Kasper, in 1999; his son, Russell Kasper, in 2016; and his brother, Oskar Kasper. Surviving are his wife, Aljeanette Sipler Kasper; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Sue Kasper, of Annandale, NJ; his daughter-in-law, Jane Kasper, of Deltona, FL; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Boyne and Kris Zemanek; his grandchildren: Patricia Kasper-Smith, Steven Kasper, Jessica Kasper-Fossey, and Daniel Kasper; his step-granddaughters, Casey Marie Zemanek and Taylor Anne Zemanek; and his great-grandchildren: Arthur Daniel Fossey and Gavin Russell Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Burial with military honors will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 5-8 PM in the funeral home.
