H. Douglas Kerr

Harvey Douglas Kerr, age 70 years, of Flemington, NJ, died Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Plainfield, NJ, February 22, 1946, son of the late Harvey and Frances Roe Kerr, he had resided in the Flemington area all his life.

A 1964 graduate of Hunterdon Central High School, he retired in 2001 from the US Postal Service.

Doug was a member of the Flemington Baptist Church; was an avid Yankee fan and baseball card collector and was a founder of the Slow Pitch Softball League. Doug also an avid dart player for several church teams and enjoyed bowling as well.

Surviving are his wife of forty-three years, Barbara Haight Kerr and two sons, Michael Kerr of Manville, NJ and Salvador Kerr of Flemington, NJ.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 20, 2016, at 11:00 AM in the Flemington Baptist Church, Main Street, Flemington, NJ, followed by interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday 10:00-11:00 AM at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
