H. Gail Thompson

H. Gail Thompson, age 88 years, of Ringoes, NJ, died Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Country Arch Care Center, Pittstown, NJ.

Born in Hunterdon County, NJ, September 17, 1936, daughter of the late Frank and Edna Titus Voorhees, Gail had resided in Hunterdon County all her life.

A 1954 graduate of Flemington High School, she was a homemaker and a caregiver for several family members including her husband and her son.

She was a longtime member of the Sandy Ridge Church, Delaware Township, NJ and was active for many years in the church’s Ladies Fellowship there.

Gail enjoyed camping at Otter Lake in the Poconos and enjoyed coffee and conversation around her kitchen table with her family and many friends.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Howard Thompson in 2012 and her son, Kenneth Thompson, in 2023. She was also pre-deceased by her sisters, Marjorie Frizzell and Jean Dalrymple.

Surviving are her granddaughter, Sabrina Thompson of Ringoes, NJ and her two brothers and sister-in-law, Frank Voorhees of Ocean City NJ and Harry and Mary Voorhees of Dillsburg, PA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Sandy Ridge Church, 47 Sandy Ridge Road, Delaware Township NJ. Calling hours will be Saturday, January 4, 2025, 1:00 PM -2:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Reaville, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ
