Born in Hunterdon County, NJ on September 5, 1895, he was the son of the late Robert R. Smith and Gertrude Case.

Mr. Smith was a veteran of World War I.

He then worked for Berkaw & Mathews Feeds in Flemington, NJ.

He was survived by his wife, Lena (Butler) Smith.

Interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ.
