Harold E. Burkert

Harold E. Burkert, age 85 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, December 20, 2006, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Trenton, NJ, December 4, 1921, he was the son of the late Franklin and Charlotte Bootherstone Burkert. He had resided in East Amwell for thirty-seven years.

He retired from the Princeton University Research and Development Division, where he was involved in rocket research.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Burkert; a son, Robert Burkert of Allentown, NJ; a daughter, Connie Goldstrohm of Roswell, GA; two sisters, Charlotte Potent of Columbus, NJ, and Carol Everett of Hamilton Square, NJ; a grandson, Scott Goldstrohm of Athens, GA; a granddaughter, Erin Walter of Morrisville, PA,and three stepsons, Thomas Goodhart of Highland Park, NJ, Daniel Walter of Morrisville, PA, and David Walter of High Bridge, NJ..

A Memorial Service will held on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 3 PM at Hathkal (his residence) under the direction of the Holcomnbe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
