Harriet Elizabeth Hofmann

Harriet E. Hofmann, age 80 years, of Berkeley Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at her residence.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, July 14, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Harriet Dilger Allgeier. She had formerly resided in Ozone Park, NY.

Surviving are her husband of sixty-one years, Walter C. Hofmann; two sons, Alan W. Hofmann of Flemington, NJ, and Raymond J. Hofmann of Mountainside, NJ; a daughter, Karen B. Visone of East Meadow, NY; two sisters, Ruth Mesthene and Dorothy Melgar; two brothers, George and Douglas Allgeier; four grandchildren: Michael and Jennie Hofmann, and Kristina and Michele Visone; and a great-granddaughter, Krystal Visone.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Magdalen Mausoleum, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM in the Funeral Home.
