Harriet Lee Barrick, a lifelong resident of Ringoes, NJ, passed away on July 14th, 2021, at the age of 86.
Born November 15th, 1934, in Ringoes, NJ, Harriet was a 1952 graduate of Flemington High School.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Philhower Rauschert; her beloved sister, Judith Rauschert Bushnell; her husband of 54 years, E. David Barrick; her daughter, Brenda Lee Millhimes; and her granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth Millhimes.
Harriet is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Charles and Patricia Rauschert of Stockton, NJ; brother-in-law Charles Bushnell of Princeton, NJ; her son, David C. Barrick and daughter-in-law Ashley Lynn Barrick of Stockton, NJ; her son-in-law Joey Millhimes of Newtown PA; grandchildren Deann Bryant and her husband Troy, Emily Boni and her husband Daniel, Caitlyn Barrick, Kori Millhimes, Olivia Barrick and Jacob Millhimes; and her great loves, her great-grandchildren Juliette and David Boni and Jameson Bryant.
Harriet was a Branch Manager of the Flemington National Bank until she retired in 1992 and went on to care for her grandchildren during the summer months. Harriet was a shining example of strength and resilience. She taught her family the importance of standing up for yourself, keeping up with family traditions, and how to cook a mean Sunday night dinner.
She enjoyed her time spent at barn dances, making meals for her family, and listening to her all-time favorite: Johnny Cash. Harriet was a former member of Calvary Church in Ringoes, Sandy Ridge Community Church in Stockton and more recently Larison’s Corner Church in Ringoes. She was a long-time member of the Amwell Valley Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 24th, 2021, at 12:30 pm at the Amwell Ridge Cemetery in Ringoes, followed by a repast at the Amwell Valley Fire Company.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Amwell Valley Fire Company or Amwell Valley Rescue Squad.
