Harris Meldrum Elwell

Harris Meldrum Elwell, age 88 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Friday, August 15, 2008 at her residence.

Born in Hamden, CT, July 30, 1920, daughter of the late Henry and Genotta Asor Meldrum, she had resided in Franklin Township for the past year, having lived most of her live in Scotch Plains, NJ.

She was formerly an Executive Secretary with the Scotch Plains Police Department, Scotch Plains, NJ for many years.

Her husband, Norman Elwell, whom she married in Shelton, CT on June 24, 1950, died in 2006.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, David and Susan Elwell of Franklin Township, NJ; four grandchildren, Jennie Brown, Amanda Elwell, Lindsey Elwell and Madison Elwell; and her great granddaughter, Aniyah Brown.
