Harry A. Dugger, III, died peacefully at home after a long illness. He was 80 years old. He was born in Oklahoma City, Ok., where he grew up. He had resided in Delaware Township for thirty-one years.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Elisabeth, his son, Andrew and daughter, Christina Dugger, daughter-in-law, Rikki Ades and grandsons, Maxwell and Griffin. He is also survived by his sisters, Pat McKenzie, Martha Coe, Emily Blair, Sarah Simmons and their families.
After undergraduate studies at the Oklahoma Baptist University, he earned his PhD. in Chemistry at the University of Michigan and his post doctoral studies at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. After many years of working in research and development, Dr. Dugger started his own company, traveling the world consulting with pharmaceutical companies. He had a brilliant mind and held numerous patents for his innovative ideas. For many years he served on the volunteer New Vernon First Aid Squad. He loved his work, but he was happiest at home on his farm with his family, tending his gardens.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 11, 2017 , 3:00-5:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Funeral services and interment will be private. Memorial contribution may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York City, NY 10018
