Harry E. Stryker, age 97 years of Flemington, NJ died Monday, March 15, 2004 at the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Oldwick, NJ, June 28, 1906, son of the late John C. and Margaret Ramsey Stryker, he had resided in Flemington, NJ since 1947, having formerly resided in Lebanon, NJ.

He was proprietor of Stryker's Paint Store, Flemington, NJ, retiring 25 years ago. He was a member of the Three Bridges Reformed Church; Darcy Lodge #37 F & AM of Flemington; Lebanon Fire Co. Exempt Association; a charter member of Flemington Elks Lodge #1928; member of Forest #4, Tall Cedars, Lebanon, NJ, and was a former member of the Flemington Kiwanis Club.

His first wife, Leah Bonser Stryker died in 1961, and a daughter, Lois Jane Stryker, died in 1982. Surviving are his wife, Marie Mattison Stryker; a son, John Stryker of Raritan Township, NJ; a step-son, Franklin Mattison of New Brighton, PA; two step-daughters, Betty March of Danbury, CT, and Muriel Stillwell of Cokesbury, NJ; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in Union Cemetery, Lebanon, NJ. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822. Please call or visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information.
