Harry K. Boughner

Harry K. Boughner, age 88 years, of Flemington, NJ died Tuesday, March 23, 2004 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Flemington, August 11, 1915, son of the late Furman and Ida Kline Boughner, he had resided in Flemington all his life.

He retired from Carver's Auto Parts, Flemington, in 1985. He was a graduate of the Flemington Children's Choir School and was a 1932 graduate of Flemington High School.

He was a Past Master of Darcy Lodge #37, F. & A.M. of Flemington, NJ; a Past High Priest of Clinton Chapter, R.A.M. of Flemington,NJ; a member of St. Elmo Commandry, the Crescent Temple Shine of Trenton, NJ and the Hunterdon County Shrine Club; In 1985, he was Grand Chaplain of the Grand Lodge of the State of New Jersey.

He was a seventy-nine year member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Additionally, Mr. Boughner was Past Commander of the Flemington American Legion Post #159.

His wife, Marian Decker Boughner, died in 1980. Surviving are three daughters, Connie J. Ingrassia of Vero Beach, FL, Susan K. Allen of Flemington, NJ and Pamela J. Hageman of Floral City, FL; a half-brother, Robert Boughner of Bridgewater, NJ; a half-sister, Barbara Goodman of Merritt Island, FL; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Another daughter, Patty Harrison, died in 1991.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.
