Harry Kazman, age 76 years, former long-time resident of Raritan Township, NJ, passed away on Tuesday morning, July 5, 2022, at his home in Hatboro, PA surrounded by his loving family. Born in Germany, March 17, 1946, he was the son of the late Abram and Rose (Schwartzbard) Kazman. He had resided in Raritan Township, NJ over forty-years before moving to Pennsylvania following his retirement. Mr. Kazman graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in English and from the University of Michigan with an MA in Directing. He started his teaching career at Hunterdon Central Regional High School in 1968 where he taught Theater, English, Public Speaking, and was the Coordinator of the Drama Program, retiring after 33 years. They were both inducted into the HCRHS Hall of Fame in 2011. In addition, Harry wrote, produced, and directed for “Famous Trials Theater”. He had written several re-enactments of famous trials and appeared on radio and television in association with his long running re-enactment of “Lindbergh and Hauptmann, The Trial of the Century”. His Lindbergh Trial reenactment was performed annually for 20 years from 1990-2010 in the original Hunterdon County Courthouse on Main Street where the trial took place. Harry also presented lecture programs to both student and adult groups on the Hauptmann Trial and the events leading up to it. He provided talks to middle and high schools, senior groups, and professional organizations and was a consultant for film and television. Harry is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Reva Kazman, of Hatboro, PA; his children, Avi Kazman of Warrington, PA and Lisa Kazman of Morristown, NJ; his sister, Estelle Hewlett of Chester, VA; his dear cousin, Sam Kazman, of Falls Church, VA; his in-laws, Fred Weiner, Carolle Weiner, Eileen Weiner, and Minna Badanes; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
