Hazel E. Veregin

Hazel E. Veregin, age 87 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, December 7, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Mortellaro Calabrese. She had previously resided in Denver, Colorado.

She was a retired Librarian for Neilson Engineering, Santa Clara, California.

She is survived by a son, Frank P., and his wife Patty Hulpiau Granato, of Kingwood Township; two grandchildren, Gina Owen, of Sparta, New Jersey, and Paula Schroeder, of Greeley, Colorado; a nephew, Vincent Tagliovore, and his wife Gay, of Denver, Colorado; four great-grandchildren, Beau and Jordan Owen, and Dylan and Danielle Schroeder; and many wonderful friends, especially Marcia Peterson, of Campbell, California. Her husband, Lewis R. Veregin, died earlier.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Archdiocese of Denver Mortuary, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. in Colorado with the Funeral Service Monday at 2 p.m. Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Mausoleum, Denver, Colorado.
