Helen E. Pickering

Helen E. Pickering, age 90 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Saturday, December 5, 2009 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

She was born in Scranton, PA, November 8, 1919, and had resided in Hunterdon County, NJ for over sixty years.

She had formerly worked at the Eaton/Yale plant in Raritan Township, NJ.

She was a member of the Bowling League at Frenchtown, NJ, and enjoyed teaching children to bowl.

Her husband, Norman Pickering, Sr died in 1983, and a son, Norman Pickering, Jr., died in 1999. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Gin Pickering of Bastrop, TX, and Robin and Beverly Pickering of Easton, PA; a sister, Kate Arthur in Florida; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 8 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Ressuige Cemetery, South Gibson, PA. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
