Helen M. Czaplicki

Helen M. Czaplicki, age 75, died Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at her home in Readington Township NJ surrounded by her loving family.

Born March 2, 1948, in Budne, Poland. Helen was the daughter of the late Wladyslaw and Genowefa (Pamrowski) Budny. As the eldest of three children and known as ‘Mary’ by her closest family, Helen emigrated to the United States at the age of 11 and graduated from Irvington High School in NJ.

For a few years, Helen worked as a secretary for Bell Phone Company and was a homemaker for most of her life. She met the love of her life, Jozef, while on a family vacation to Poland, and the two were married in Warsaw in 1971.

Helen welcomed four beautiful children Robert, Joanne, Dariusz, and Beata, and she dedicated her life to them. She instilled in them the importance of family and cultural traditions. Helen’s greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother, and wife. She was a social butterfly who loved being around others. Helen enjoyed crocheting, cooking, collecting antiques, and spending quality time with family.

Helen is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Jozef Czaplicki, her four children and their spouses, Robert and Cindy Czaplicki, Joanne and Christian Stevens, Dariusz and Edyta Czaplicki, and Beata and Stanislaw Puchalski, her eight grandchildren, Brandon and Brian, Gavin, Avery, Mark, Aleksandra, Izabela and Emilia, as well as her sister, Christine Haremza, and her brother Stanley Budny.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2 Whitebridge Road, Pittstown, NJ 08867. Cremation and interment will follow privately. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ 08822.
