Helen Marie Johnson

Helen Marie Johnson, age 91 years, of Delaware Township, died on Monday, October 23, 2006, at her residence.

Born in Laredo, TX, September 8, 1915, she had previously resided in Texas and Illinois, and Toms River, NJ, before moving to Delaware Township six years ago.

She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Frank Johnson, died in 1982.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne Johnson of Hazlet, NJ, and Keith Johnson of Chalfont, PA; a daughter, Bonita Johnson of Delaware Township, NJ, who was her devoted caregiver for the past six years; a brother, George Knell of Warrenville, IL; two sisters, May Carey of Florence, OR, and Julianna Burgess of Vancouver, WA; and seven grandchildren.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday from 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
