Helen Medianka

Helen Medianka, age 88 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Somerset Medical Center, Somerville, NJ.

Born in Illinci, Ukraine, January 8, 1922, she had formerly resided in Toms River, NJ, Fords, NJ and Jersey City, NJ. Mrs. Medianka was formerly an assembler for Block Drug Company, Jersey City, NJ, retiring in 1982. She was a long time member of St. Stephen's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Toms River, NJ and the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Perth Amboy, NJ.

Her husband, Andreas Gustav Medianka, died in 2006.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Emil and Nancy Medianka of Raritan Township, NJ; two granddaughters, Michele Beckman and Stephanie Medianka, both of Flemington, NJ; and two great grandchildren, Emily and Christopher Beckman.

A Funeral Mass will take place Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. in the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 684 Alta Vista Place, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861 under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in the Ukrainian Assumption Church Cemetery, Woodbridge Township, NJ.
