Helen Rose Cvetan, age 85 years, was called to the Lord on Wednesday, February 12, 2014.

Born in Kingwood Township, NJ, May 1, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ivanka Hudovernik Ecker, who were immigrants from Italy and Austria.

She was a 1946 graduate of Frenchtown High School. She held employment at the Flemington Auction Market for a few years before her marriage to Joseph Cvetan in 1948, and then settled to raise her family in Ringoes, NJ. She and her late husband, Joseph, worked along side each other for many years at their Cvetan Brother's Farm Produce Stand on Route 31.

She was a longtime communicant of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Hopewell, NJ. She and her late husband moved permanently to Port St. Lucie, FL in 2004 where she attended St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She was a member of the Port St. Lucie Newcomers Club and also the Port St. Lucie VIP's Club.

Her husband, Joseph Cvetan, died in 2007. She was also pre-deceased by her siblings, Rudy Ecker, Robert Ecker, her twin sister Ida Russell and recently her sister Elsie Stanley who passed away at the age of 100. She is survived by her three children, Joanne Stuart (Fred) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Richard Cvetan (Cheryl) of New Hope, PA, and Colleen Ash (John) of Hartville, OH; five grandchildren: Michelle Welsh, Ali Nebistinsky, Robert Cvetan, Casey Ash, and Joanne Ash; two step grandchildren: Nicholette Cain-Ash ans Mark Stuart; two great granddaughters, Alexis Welsh and Nikole Welsh; two sisters, Hilda Hewitt of Clearbrook, VA and

Theresa Kusant of Stockton, NJ; and two brothers, Engelbert Ecker of Kingwood Township, NJ and Henry Ecker of Nickelsville, VA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 11 AM in St. Alphonsus Church, Hopewell, NJ. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 6-8 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
