Helen Puzyr, age 85 years, of Linden, NJ, died on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in New York City, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Justyna Fedyniak Rudyk, and had resided in Linden, NJ for over sixty years.
She was a former administrative assistant with W.R. Grace & Company. She had formerly worked at Tiffany & Co., New York, NY.
She was a graduate of Washington Irving High School, New York City and was Captain of the Hall Monitors while there. She was active in the Ukranian American Orchestra and Chorus and played the mandolin.
She was a member of the Linden Senior Citizens, the Equestrian Club in New York, and the Linden Ceramic Club.
Her husband, Nicholas Puzyr, died in 1993, and she was also pre-deceased by a sister, Mary Schulien, in 1995. Surviving are two sons, John Puzyr of Linden, NJ, and Fred Puzyr of Portland, OR; a daughter, Doreen Roksvaag of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Rose Kocinski of Flemington, NJ; two granddaughters, Kristen Sanchez and Tracy Roksvaag; ane her three beloved great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in the Flemington Baptist Church, 170 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ and on Wednesday from 10-11 AM in the church.
