Henry C. Kinderman, age 80 years, of East Amwell Township NJ, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Rehab at River’s Edge in Raritan Borough NJ.
Born April 18, 1937 in Long Branch NJ, Henry was the son of the late Ralph and Gladys (Coe) Kinderman. After living in Monmouth County for many years, he bought a farm in East Amwell where he lived for more than 40 years.
Henry was a proud F&AM, following in the footsteps of grandfather, and was a Past Master of the Monmouth Lodge #172.
Henry served his country during peacetime in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962. For many years, he was a Bridge Inspector with the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation, and after his retirement, he worked for Trap Rock Industries as a truck driver.
Farm life was Henry’s true passion. His farm, located at the intersection of Wertsville and Rileyville Roads in East Amwell, have provided much joy to all that have travelled through that area. His cows, especially “Sweet Bessie,” were special to Henry and gave him much happiness.
Henry is survived by his sister, Marjorie Fielding of North Carolina, a niece and nephew, and four of his loyal friends to the end, Fred Van Doren, Walt Ditzel, Paul “the Ditchin’ Magician,” and Caroline Taraschi.
Burial in Fairview Cemetery in Middletown Township NJ, will be private and under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.
