Henry Grattan Shields

Henry Grattan Shields, of Monroe Township, NJ died on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 in Princeton Medical Center, Princeton, NJ.

Born in Flemington, NJ, January 10, 1919, son of the late Henry Grattan and Agnes Foran Shields, he had formerly resided in Yardley, PA and Morrisville, PA for many years. He had resided in Monroe Township since 2005.

Mr. Shields was formerly employed by Volk Tire Compnay, Trenton, NJ, retiring in 1986.

He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II.

His first wife, Mary Larkin Shields died in 1998 and his second wife, Claire Schreiber Shields, died in 1994. A son, Gratton Shields, died in 1997.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Ann Shields of Robbinsville, NJ and Elizabeth Shields of Seattle, WA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Friday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Agnes Church, Main Street, Stockton, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
