Henry H. Fisher, age 82 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 14, 2008 in Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown, PA.

On a cold, wet, and muddy December 14, 1925, Henry was born to the late Henry and Sara Sergeant Johnson Fisher at the Springmeadow Farms on Locktown-Sergeantsville Road in Delaware Township, NJ.

Henry grew up on the farm where he was born, and after graduating from Flemington High School, spent his entire life working the fields and caring for a registered Holstein herd.

Mr. Fisher was a lifetime member of the Sergeantsville United Methodist Church, Sergeantsville, NJ, where he served in many capacities including Trustee.

Henry was very civic minded, being a Director for the Flemington National Bank, a Past President of the Board of Directors of Hunterdon Agway, former chair of the Delaware Township Planning Board, former President of the Hunterdon County Milk Producers, former President of the Hunterdon County Board of Agriculture, former President of the Hunterdon Farm Bureau, and a licensed real estate broker.

Mr. Fisher was one of the first three farmers in New Jersey to put his farm in the Framland Preservation Program.

An avid sports fan, his favorite teams were the Philadelphia Eagles in football and Phillies in baseball.

Henry is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Harriet Van Hyning Fisher ; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Jan Fisher of Grand Haven, MI, and Charles and Sandi Fisher of Rosemont, NJ; and three granddaughters, Katherine, Abigail, and Hannah Fisher; a brother-in-law, Walter Macak of Flemington, NJ; and a niece Barbara Macak of Lambertville, NJ.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM in the Sergeantsville United Methodist Church, Sergeantsville, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
