Henry Oswald Phieler, age 86 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Friday, August 27, 2010, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, April 26, 1924, he was the son of the late Alexander and Ida Illsche Phieler.
He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
He was an Air Traffic Controller Specialist with the FAA.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-one years, Helen Stawski Phieler; two daughters, Lorraine Burket of Flemington, NJ, and Alexandra Mathews of Stockton, NJ; five grandchildren: Tracy Reasoner, Sherry Reasoner, Lucas Mathews, Debra Mathews, and Brian Mathews; three great-grandchildren: Bria Reasoner, Chloe Reasoner, and Lia Mathews; and a sister, Joan Samonski of Gold Beach, OR.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 10:30 AM in St. Paul Lutheran Church under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
