Herbert A. Braun

Herbert A. Braun age 78 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, September 26, 2010 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, October 26, 1931, son of the late Augustus and Pauline Gassman Braun, he had formerly lived in Ocean City, NJ prior to moving to Raritan Township in 1990.

A graduate of Manhattan College with a BS in Physics, Mr. Braun formerly worked at the Brooklyn Navy Yard and later for many years owned and operated newspaper routes.

A Communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ, he is survived by his wife Joan Mione Braun; a daughter, Barbara Stankowitz of Rosemont, NJ; four sons, Raymond Braun of Doylestown, PA, Richard Braun of Hawthorne, NJ, Paul Braun of Freehold, NJ and George Braun of Sussex, NJ; and thirteen grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
