Herbert Edward Myers, 74, of Stockton, NJ passed peacefully on January 22, 2022.
Born September 6, 1947 in Camden, NJ, Herb was the son of the late Herbert and Sadie Plunkett Myers. He was predeceased by his sister Joan Hunt, as well as his niece and nephew. Herb is survived and his memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 49 years, Arlene (Simon) Myers, with whom he joined hands in marriage on September 9, 1972. He is also survived by his three sons, Stefan Myers and his wife, Sandy, Christopher Myers, Jeffrey Myers and his wife, Lyssa, as well as three granddaughters, Devon, Pepper and Hazel Myers.
Herb was an HVAC mechanic at Exxon Mobil in Morristown, then later Clinton, NJ for 30 years.
As a young man Herb was a Boy Scout who travelled and camped across the country with his family. A mechanical mind, Herb was the go-to for friends and family for any repairs. Herb was an avid researcher with a curious mind, spending countless hours in the library. He studied political science at Marshall University, as well as additional training for HVAC.
Herb also enjoyed the beach, football, classic movies and his family. His infectious laughter, smile and humor will be missed by all who love him.
A memorial service for Herb will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery in Flemington NJ. Calling hour will be from 9:30 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
