Hilda V. Mannon

Hilda V. Mannon, age 92 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Monday, December 31, 2018 at her home.

Born in Ringoes, NJ, December 8, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Ella Case Ruple.

A lifelong resident of Hunterdon County, Hilda was a former member and former organist at the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Ringoes, NJ; she was currently a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Mannon was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver. Hilda enjoyed gardening and had a passion for bookkeeping and details.

Hilda graduated Flemington High School in 1944 and was a graduate of Rider College. She started as a bookkeeper with the Hunterdon County Superintendent of Schools office, Flemington, NJ, and was the bookkeeper for sixty-eight years for her and her husband’s businesses.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Allen. Surviving are her husband of over sixty-eight years, Richard D. Mannon; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Diana and Matteo Liberto of Flemington, NJ, Vivian Mannon of Chelan, WA, Kathleen and Dean Holcombe of Milford, NJ, and Brenda and Joe Patnick of Stewartsville, NJ; eight grandchildren: Mathew Liberto and his wife Erin, Brian Liberto and his wife Marin, Caitlyn Liberto, Chad Ashley Holcombe, Allyson Holcombe, Amanda Kania and her husband Brandon, Tara Boszczuk, and Tammy Boszczuk; and her two great-granddaughters, Cecilia Liberto and Abigail Liberto.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
