Howard Glenn Carr

Howard Glenn Carr, age 70 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at his residence.

Born July 12, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late James Howard and Elizabeth Hickey Carr, he had resided in Raritan Township since 1984, having previously lived in Bridgewater, NJ and Brooklyn, NY.

He was formerly a Sales Engineer for Perkin-Elmer, Norwalk, CT, for twenty-eight years prior to retiring.

Surviving are his wife of forty-six years, Greta Schmidt Carr; three children, Alison Carr of Bartlett, IL, Chris Carr of Califon, NJ and Jennifer Hofmann of NYC, NY; five grandchildren, Spencer, Rowan and Bess Culotta and Brendan and Keira Hofmann; and two sisters, Susanne Bugden of Pocono Manor, PA and Madelon Vitucci of Brooklyn, NY.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
