Ida Mae Gallagher

Ida Mae Gallagher, age 86 years, of Manahawkin, NJ (Stafford Township), passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 in Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin, NJ.

Born March 11, 1922 in Metuchen, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Ida Emma Lowman. Ida was a lifelong resident of Beach Haven, NJ before moving to Manahawkin, where she resided with her daughter June, Granddaughter Ida Mae and her husband Brian Earle and great-grandsons Bryan Nicholas and Eddie.

A Homemaker and Communicant of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Barnegat, NJ, Ida loved her family most and enjoyed taking long car rides so they could talk. She also enjoyed the trips that were taken to Atlantic City and to play Bingo.

In addition to her parents, Ida was pre-deceased by her first Husband, Andrew J. Toth, Sr. in 1988, her second husband, Donald Gallagher in 2006, and her sister, Lillian Rudder in 2007.

Surviving are her nine children and their spouses, Ida and Mark Smith of Stockton, NJ, Andrew Toth, Jr. in Illinois, Donald Toth of Lacey, NJ, Paul and Sharon Toth of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, Anthony and Betsey Toth of Manahawkin, NJ, Audrey Toth of Manahawkin, NJ, Hope and Robert McClung of Manahawkin, NJ, June Cortiaus of Manahawkin, NJ and Phylliss and Edward Sulecki of Manahawkin, NJ; eleven grandchildren, Ida Mae, Jessie, Jennifer, Mark, Sharon Ann, Justin, John, Kathy Lynn, Jacob, Chrystal Joy and Andrew; five great-grandbabies, Bryan Nicholas, Eddie, Timmy, Evelyn and Angelina; and a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Eleanor Lowman of Winterhaven, FL.

A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, July 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Barnegat, NJ. For directions, please call the Church at 609.698.5531.
