Ida Mae Sutphin, age 86 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, October 10, 2010, at her home.
Born in Erwinna, PA, August 16, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Ruth Hillpot Frankenfield. She had resided in the Flemington area for sixty-four years.
She was a bank teller and manager for Somerset Savings Bank, Flemington, NJ, retiring in 1992.
She was formerly an active volunteer with the Flemington Food Pantry and with the Hunterdon County Cancer Society,
and was a loving and doting grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her husband, Kenneth Sutphin, died in 1974. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth G. Sutphin of Raritan Township, NJ, and Frank Sutphin of Frenchtown, NJ; two daughters, Barbara Mann of Frenchtown, NJ, and Patricia Schottman of Raritan Township, NJ; a brother, Chet Frankenfield of Palo Alto, CA; four sisters, Jeanne Shirk of Bradenton, FL, and Pearl Tange, Jane Gordon and Esther Carver all of Milford, NJ; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
