Ingeborg "Ida" Tharaldsen

Ingeborg "Ida" Tharaldsen, age 101 years, died on Thursday, August 28, 2008 in the Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton Township, NJ.

Born March 26, 1907 in Kristiansand S., Norway, daughter of the late Ole and Marie Hallandvik, she had formerly resided in Brooklyn, NY then in Staten Island, NY for many years before moving to New Jersey to be with her daughter and family.

A Seamtress in Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY for many years, she was an Honorary life Member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union, Local #154.

Her husband, Gabriel Tharaldsen, died in 1962. She was also predeceased by seven siblings.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Marion T. and George A. Nelsen; three grandchildren, Barbara, Robert and Peter; four great grandchildren; and one brother in Norway.
