Irene H. Cipo, affectionately known as Renee, passed away peacefully at her home in Erwinna, PA on December 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 17, 1926, in Hopelawn, NJ, Irene lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and an unwavering spirit.

Irene began her notable career at the age of 17, working as an executive personnel assistant for Union Carbide in Bound Brook, NJ. Her professional journey spanned over three decades and included memorable travels to Manhattan during World War II, where she contributed to the war effort through her work.

An accomplished individual, Irene displayed remarkable talent in her youth, shining as a lead actress in her senior class play, "The Ghost Train," in which she not only played the character Peggy Murdock but also showcased her singing ability through a solo performance.  Her involvement in the arts remained a source of pride throughout her life.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Irene was deeply committed to philanthropy, supporting numerous charitable organizations including Seeing Eye Dog, Saint Jude Children's Hospital, Macular Degeneration, and Wounded Warriors, as well as her local police community. Her generosity knew no bounds.

Family and friends will forever cherish their memories of Irene's love for baking, particularly during birthdays and holidays, which she infused with her special touch. Known for her dry sense of humor, Irene was a steadfast source of strength and emotional support, often recognized for her stoic yet kind demeanor that endeared her to those around her.

Irene H. Cipo is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Cipo Gallagher, and her spouse, Peter Munden. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience within her local and closely knit surviving family, including Dan Hladik, Tamara Hladik, Natalie Trehuba, John Cipo, and Nancy Cipo.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, John Hladik and Anna Bodnar Hladik, her husband, Stephen Cipo, and her siblings, William Hladik, John Hladik, Margaret Racin, and Sharon Trehuba.

Her indomitable spirit and dedicated heart will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.  A private celebration of her life will be planned.
