Irene “Renee” Dale Malwitz, age 77 years, of Newton, NJ, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 22, 2018, in the Newton Medical Center, Newton, NJ. Born in Elizabeth, NJ on July 8, 1940; daughter of the late Charles Holland and the late Irene (Koehler) Holland. She resided in Newton for the past two years having formerly resided in Clinton and North Plainfield, NJ.
Renee gave her life to Christ as a young adult and pursued her Savior as a long-time member of South Ridge Community Church where she joyfully served God and the church family she loved so dearly. She rested in all the promises of her Savior, especially His grace, Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weakness, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2 Corinthians 12:9-11
A strong, confident, and purposeful homemaker, she devoted herself to caring for, raising, and unconditionally loving her family. Renee had a passion for and found joy in arts and crafts with a special gift for sewing and needlework.
Renee was preceded in death by the true love of her life and beloved husband of 46 years, Donald Walter Malwitz; stepfather, John Sullivan of White Township, NJ; brother, Charles Holland of Abilene, TX; and grandchild, Zachary Douglas Malwitz of North Richland Hills, TX.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Alisa Ann Schenck of Dingmans Ferry, PA; two sons, Douglas Donald Malwitz of North Richland Hills, TX and Keith Cameron Malwitz of Elkton, MN; three brothers, George Holland of Nashville, TN, Tom Holland of Longs, NC, Ronald Holland of Bethlehem, PA; and nine grandchildren.
Open for me the gates where the righteous enter, and I will go in and thank the Lord. These gates lead to the presence of the Lord, and the godly enter there. I thank you for answering my prayer and giving me victory! Psalms 118: 19-21
