Irene Smith

Irene Smith, age 83 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Stillwater, NJ, September 5, 1931, daughter of the late Frank and Pearl Clouse, she had resided in Hunterdon County since 1950.

Irene was formerly employed in the Housekeeping Dept. of the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Her husband, Kenneth L. Smith, Sr., died in 1992.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth L. Smith, Jr. of Sunbury,PA; two grandchildren, Christopher Smith and Brett Smith; a great grandchild, Adlan Grace Smith; three brothers, Leon Clouse of Stanhope, NJ, Clarkson Clouse of East Amwell Township, NJ, and Ronald Clouse in PA, and two sisters, Clara Stone in NJ and Ella Martin in NC.

Services and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hunterdon Medical Center Regional Cancer Center, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
