Irene Virginia Krauss

Irene Virginia Krauss, age 82 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Thursday, October 16, 2008 in Foothill Acres Nursing Home, Hillsborough Township, NJ.

Born in Trenton, NJ, March 11, 1926, daughter of the late Daniel and Josephine Manners Flannery, she had formerly resided in Largo, FL and Flemington, NJ.

A Homemaker, she was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Flemington American Legion Post #159, Flemington, NJ.

Her husband, Arthur Krauss, died in 2002 and a daughter, Judith Ann Krauss, died in 1952. She was also pre-deceased by a brother, William Flannery and two sisters, Mabel Bell and Marie Flannery.

Surviving are three daughters, Christina Krauss of NYC, NY, Bonnie Jacob and her husband Richard of Readington Township, NJ and Debbie Martin of St. Petersburg, FL; five grandchildren, Angel and husband Richard Cockburn, Amanda and husband James Rosso, Amy and husband Alex Seville, Maria Christenson and Joshua Christenson; and six great grandchildren, Kayla, Cassandra, Carly Jo and Kelsey Cockburn, Brielle Rosso and Joey Christenson.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.
