Born in Flemington, NJ on January 9, 1894, he was the son of the late George Castner and Mary Sturm.

Mr. Castner was the proprietor of a laundromat in Oswego, New York.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary (Grace) Castner, who died in 1924. He was survived by his second wife, Carrie (Hillyard) Castner.

Interment in Cherryville Mountainview Cemetery, Cherryville Road, Flemington, NJ.
