Irving Wolfson, age 81 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, July 4, 2004 at the Kessler/Wellkind Rehabilitation Center, Chester Township, NJ.
Born in the Bronx, NY, February 7, 1923, he was the son of the late Harry and Bessie Podolsky Wolfson. He had resided in Raritan Township, NJ since 1957.
He was a history and sociology teacher at Irvington High School, Irvington, NJ. He received his B.A. and M.A. from New York University. He was a member of the Flemington Jewish Community Center, Flemington, NJ.
His wife, Harriet Levine Wolfson, died in 2000. He is survived by two sons: E. Scott Wolfson, of Tampa, FL, and William S. Wolfson, of Flemington, NJ; a daughter, Barbara Langer, of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Gloria Tarr, of Helmetta, NJ; and two grandchildren, Samantha and Nicholas Langer, both of Flemington, NJ.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 AM at the
Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Flemington Jewish Community Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information.
