Ivan Michael Safonoff, M.D.

Ivan Michael Safonoff, M.D., age 86 years, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 in Rittenhouse Village, Yardley, PA.

Born in Los Angeles, CA, January 26, 1933, he was the son of the late Michael and Louise Gordon Safonoff. He had formerly lived most of his life in Brooklyn, NY, before retiring in Stockton, NJ.

He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War and was an Internist at Brooklyn Hospital, before becoming the Medical Director at AIG Financial.

His wife, Jean Marie Cannarella Safonoff, died in 2017. Surviving are his daughters, Gina Cole of Worcester, MA, and Laura Gili of Brooklyn, NJ; his grandchildren: Danielle Cole, Michael Cole, Andraya Cole, and Katie Gili; and his great granddaughters, Alexandra Gili and Penelope Gili.

Graveside services, with full military honors, will be held in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
