Jack Bowman, age 78 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Monday, August 6, 2007, in Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York City, NY.

He was born in Boonton, NJ, December 5, 1928.

He attended Rutgers University and Rider University, and was an accounting manager with Agway full-time for thirty-nine years, and part-time for an additional nineteen years.

He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II, serving as a Radioman on the USS Johnston.

He was a member of the Flemington Fire Department, and formerly a member of it's Drum and Bugle Corps. He was a former Sea Scout Leader.

He was pre-deceased by two sisters, Alice Rowland and Mildred Guiton, and a twin brother, Roswell Bowman. Surviving are his wife of fifty-eight years, Flora Nobrega Bowman; a daughter, Susan Bowman Prendergast, of Johnston, RI; and two grandchildren, P. Bowman and Whitney Prendergast.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will be in St. Magdalen Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6-8 PM, with Fire Department Services at 7:45 PM, in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
