Jacob J. Johnson, age 87 years, of Delaware Township, NJ died December 18, 2005 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Sandbrook, NJ, May 17, 1918, son of the late Howard and Violet Housel Johnson, he had resided on his farm eighty years and was a lifelong farmer. He was also, for many years, Superintendent of Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ.
Mr Johnson was a member and former lay leader of the Sergeantsville United Methodist Church. At one time, he was an Assistant Boy Scout leader.
Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Alice Tyler Johnson; a son, Robert Johnson, of Titusville, NJ; three daughters, Debbie Sprella and Patty Eckard, both of Delaware Township, NJ and Bonnie Allen of Ringoes, NJ; two sisters, Julia Johnson of Hopewell, NJ and Mary Ringer of Ringoes, NJ; two brothers, Horace Johnson and Grover Johnson, both of Delaware Township, NJ; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Sergeantsville United Methodist Church, Sergeantsville, NJ. Interment will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
