James A. Stryker

James A. Stryker, age 68 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ died on Saturday, February 12, 2005 in the Hunerdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Trenton, NJ, December 4, 1936, he was the son of Marjorie Danberry Hunt of East Amwell Township, NJ and the late Adonis Stryker.

A 1955 graduate of Flemington High School, Flemington, NJ, Mr. Stryker was an Electrician for D.R. Kenyon, Bridgewater, NJ and also worked as a part-time custodian in the East Amwell Township School.

He was a member of the Amwell Valley Fire Company, Ringoes, NJ and its Exempt Fireman's Association, and a longtime member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church of Amwell, Ringoes, NJ.

His wife of forty-seven years, Roxanne Spahn Stryker, died in 2004. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a son, David C. Stryker of East Amwell Township, NJ; a daughter, Cynthia Gorawski of Stockton, NJ; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larison's Corner, NJ.
