James C. Culberson, age 87 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at his residence.
Born in Sand Brook, NJ, February 10, 1924, he was the son of the late James and Edith Terry Culberson and was a lifelong resident of Delaware Township.
He was a milk hauler with J.C. Culberson and Sons with whom he also ehgaged in custom farming.
He was a retired truck driver for Bass Transportation, Flemington, NJ, and a former bus driver for the Delaware Township Schools.
He was a charter member of the Sergeantsville Volunteer Fire Company and it's oldest member serving for over sixty years, and a member of the Sergeantsville United Methodist Church.
His wife, Doris Lambert Culberson, died in 2000. Surviving are a son, Randy Culberson, of Flemington, NJ; a daughter, Debra Colby, of Delaware Township, NJ; a brother, Robert Culberson, of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Ethel Emmons, of Delaware Township, NJ; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
