James E. Mccrea

James E. McCrea, age 75 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, September 22, 1932, he was the son of the late James S. and Elsa Wulp McCrea. He had resided in Delaware Township, NJ, since 1959.

Mr. McCrea was a retired Title Insurance Examiner and Consultant, and was formerly employed by General Land and Title Company, West Windsor, NJ.

A graduate of Alfred University, he was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and later served fifteen years with the New Jersey National Guard.

An avid sailor who enjoyed sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, he was an Exempt Fireman with the Sergeantsville Fire Company, Sergeantsville, NJ. He was also a member of the Hunterdon Sailing Club and the Reaville Sportsman's Club.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-one years, Bonnie Asbury McCrea; a son, James S. McCrea of Delaware Township, NJ; a sister, Alicia Roemer of Boxford, MA; seven nieces and one nephew.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sergeantsville United Methodist Church, 622 Rosemont-Ringoes Road, Sergeantsville, NJ. Interment will be private.
