James Henry Cronce, Jr.

James Henry Cronce Jr., age 68 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Monday, June 27, 2022, after a long battle with MS. Born in Flemington, NJ on February 28, 1954, he was the son of Patricia (Bryan) Cronce and the late James H. Cronce Sr. He was a 1972 graduate of Hunterdon Central High School, attended Trenton State Teachers College briefly, and then began his lifelong journey as an avid learner, artist, naturalist and bohemian spirit. Jim was taught by his father and grandfather as a carpenter and homebuilder and spent years pursuing his art as a jewelry maker and craftsman. He will be remembered as an animal lover, voracious reader, and as an independent spirit by his many friends and family. Surviving are his mother, Patricia (Bryan) Cronce and siblings: Bill Cronce of Lebanon, VA; Judy Theobald of Milford, NJ; Pam Stewart of Green Lane, PA; Marianne Schaller of Moorestown, NJ; and Cindy Binder of Armonk, NY; his brother Jeffrey Cronce predeceased him in 2008 and father, James Henry Cronce Sr. in 2020. A private celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
