James J. DeBlois, age 59 years, of Stockton, NJ, died Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Easton Hospital, Easton, PA. Born in Trenton, NJ, March 3, 1959, he was the son of Alfred and Frances Fioravanti DeBlois. As a young man he served as an Altar Server at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Lambertville, NJ. A 1977 Hunterdon Central High School graduate, James was a truck driver working in the transportation industry. James recently worked with his son Eric in their own business at EJ’s Junk Removal and Hauling LLC and played a key role in establishing and growing their business. James had a passion for motorcycles that he passed along to and shared with his son Eric. He and his son would ride together all of the time. They spent a lot of time with each other and shared an amazing bond. James worked on vehicles with his son and taught his son everything he knew. He taught his son about life in general. He made sure his son was always taken care of and made sure that his son knew how to be independent in life. They shared many great times together. They were not only Father and Son but also Best Friends. The love that they shared for each other was incredible. He enjoyed singing and dancing. He liked the song “Wagon Wheel” and sang it for karaoke. He had an amazing voice and loved music. He was also never one to shy away from the dance floor. James also loved family gatherings and big Christmas gatherings with his family every year. He truly cherished and enjoyed every moment he spent around the people he loved. He lived life to the fullest. James was known for his positive, caring, and joyful personality and his cheerful smile that would light up the room everywhere he went and lifted the spirits of everyone around him. He was a strong hard-working man who took great care of his family and anyone in need. He would do anything to help anyone no matter the circumstances. He was generous with everyone. He was a good-hearted person who loved big and genuinely cared for everyone who came into his life. His love for his family, friends and anyone he knew was immense. He was a truly wonderful person who was loved by many and will be deeply missed. He is pre-deceased by two siblings, Alfred DeBlois, Jr. in 1978 and Renee Procaccio in 2010. Surviving in addition to his parents are a son, Eric DeBlois of Stockton, NJ; three sisters, Deborah Blackton and her husband, Raymond of Tampa, FL, Colette Leon and her husband, Shay of Southport, NC, and Yvette Dunnigan of Portland, ME. Also surviving are his ex-wife Lydia DeBlois of Jacksonville, FL, several nieces and nephews and three great-nieces. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 12:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 10:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home.
