James Mcdonnell

James McDonnell, age 75 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in New York City, NY, May 17, 1930 to the late James F. and Catherine DiGilio McDonnell, he had resided in Raritan Township since August 2005, having previously lived in Citrus Heights, CA, Hilton Head, SC and Ramsey, NJ.

A United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War, Mr. McDonnell was formerly a Business Director for United Parcel Service, retiring in 1985.

Surviving are his wife of forty-eight years, Carmela Argondizza McDonnell; two daughters, Kathleen Mentink, and husband, Dale, of Fair Oaks, CA and Janice McDonnell-Marra of Ringoes, NJ; two sons and daughter-in-laws, James McDonnell II, and wife, Patricia, of Flemington, NJ and Kenneth McDonnell, and wife Michele, of Pottsville, PA; a sister, Joan Loudon of Mahwah, NJ; and ten grandchildren, Katelin, Lauren, Jana, Margaret, James III, Kathryn, Isabelle, Lochlan, Sophia, and Dylan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2006 in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
