James O. Drummond, age 83 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at his home.
Born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi son of the late Orbie James and Mabel Schrock Drummond, he formerly resided in Lebanon Township, NJ.
A United States Navy Korean War Veteran, James was a retired college History Professor. He was a long time member of the Amwell Church of the Brethren, Delaware Township, NJ and member of the Yardley VFW post 6393.
He is pre-deceased by one sister, Bette Faye Drummond Towle. Surviving is his wife of fifty-seven years, Veda Mathis Drummond.
Funeral services officiated by Pastor Bob DiSalvio will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in Amwell Church of the Brethren, 40 Sandbrook-Headquarters Rd, Stockton, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment and United States Navy Honors will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 880 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA. Calling hours will be Monday, October 5, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Amwell Church of the Brethren.
