James P. Corcoran, age 73 years, of Newtown, PA, died Saturday, September 21, 2019, at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown, PA.
Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, October 23, 1945, son of the late James and Catherine Apgar Corcoran, Jim had resided in Hunterdon County all his life until last year and most of his life in Flemington, NJ.
A graduate of Delaware Valley Regional High School and Trenton State College, Jim was a retired purchasing agent for the pharmaceutical industry.
He was a US Army veteran serving in Alaska during the Vietnam War. Jim was also an avid reader, enjoyed photography, loved animals and enjoyed being with his family especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Penelope (Penny) Fritsche Corcoran; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Michael Horan of Newtown, Pa; a sister, Catherine Samich of Buckeye, AZ; a brother, William Corcoran of Jasper, MN; five grandchildren, Ella Gunn,, Lindsay Gunn, Jake Horan, Ryan Horan and Thomas Horan; and three nephews and two nieces.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
